The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have exempted you from paying zakat on horses and slaves, so pay the zakat on your wealth, five from every two hundred."
[Hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in Zakat, chapter on the zakat of grazing livestock, no. 1574, and Tirmidhi in Zakat, chapter on what has been mentioned regarding the zakat of gold and silver, no. 620, from the hadith of Abu Ishaq Sabi, with this wording. Abu Dawud said, "Shubah narrated it from Abu Ishaq with this wording, but as a stopped narration." Bukhari graded it sahih, as did Ibn Khuzayma, no. 2284, and Baghawi graded it hasan. It is also found in Al-Kubra, no. 2256. This hadith has many corroborating narrations.
