The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he sent me to Yemen, instructed me not to take anything from cattle until they reached thirty in number. When they reached thirty, the due was a yearling calf, male or female, up to forty. When they reached forty, the due was a mature cow.

أمرني رسول الله ﷺ حين بعثني إلى اليمن أن لا آخذ من البقر شيئا حتى تبلغ ثلاثين فإذا بلغت ثلاثين ففيها عجل تابع جذع أو جذعة حتى تبلغ أربعين فإذا بلغت أربعين ففيها بقرة مسنة
