I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "A good fast is three days of each month."
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا الليث عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب عن سعيد بن أبي هند أن مطرفا حدثه أن
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول صيام حسن ثلاثة أيام من الشهر
[Its isnad is sahih] Ahmad narrated it: 4/217, from the hadith of Layth bin Saad, through the same route. It is also found in Kubra, hadith no. 2719, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith no. 2125.
