A man who fasted continuously throughout the year was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "He has neither fasted nor broken his fast."
أخبرني عمرو بن هشام قال حدثنا مخلد عن الأوزاعي عن قتادة
رسول الله ﷺ وذكر عنده رجل يصوم الدهر قال لا صام ولا أفطر
[Sahih]. Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Fasting, chapter on what has been said regarding fasting perpetually, hadith no. 1705, from the hadith of Qatada, by this same chain. It also appears in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 2683. See the following hadith as well.
