It reached the Prophet ﷺ that I fast continuously without break. He then continued the hadith.Ata said, "I do not know exactly how he mentioned perpetual fasting, whether he said, 'He has not fasted who fasts perpetually.'"

بلغ النبي ﷺ أني أصوم أسرد الصوم وساق الحديث قال قال عطاء لا أدري كيف ذكر صيام الأبد لا صام من صام الأبد
Bukhari recorded it in the Book of Fasting, chapter "The Right of the Family Regarding Fasting," hadith no. 1977, and Muslim in the Book of Fasting, chapter "The Prohibition of Fasting Continuously for One Who Would Be Harmed by It," and so on, hadith no. 1159/186, from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj through this chain, and it is also in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 2691.
