Its isnad is hasan. Ahmad reported it: 195/1, from the hadith of Wasil, the freed slave of Abu Uyayna, through this chain, without mentioning Walid bin Abdul-Rahman, and it is in al-Kubra, hadith 2542. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, and Munziri graded it hasan in al-Targheeb wal-Tarheeb: 147/2. Darimi added, "through backbiting," and in a daif narration, "through lying or backbiting," Majma al-Zawaid by Haythami: 171/3.Abu Ubayda is Ibn al-Jarrah, Bashar is al-Jarmi, and Hammad is Ibn Zayd.
