I asked Ayesha, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray the Duha prayer?"She replied, "No, except when he returned from a journey."I asked, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fast an entire month?"She replied, "No, I do not know of him fasting an entire month except Ramadan, nor did he refrain entirely from fasting in any month without fasting some of it, until he passed away."
أخبرنا إسمعيل بن مسعود قال أنبأنا خالد وهو ابن الحارث عن كهمس
قلت لعائشة أكان رسول الله ﷺ يصلي صلاة الضحى قالت لا إلا أن يجيء من مغيبه قلت هل كان رسول الله ﷺ يصوم شهرا كله قالت لا ما علمت صام شهرا كله إلا رمضان ولا أفطر حتى يصوم منه حتى مضى لسبيله
Muslim narrated it in Salat al-Musafirin, chapter "Recommendation of Salat al-Duha," etc., hadith no. 717, etc., hadith no. 1156/173, from the hadith of Kahmas, with the same wording, and in al-Siyam, chapter "The fasting of the Prophet ﷺ outside Ramadan," and it is in al-Kubra, hadith no. 2494.
