I said to Ayesha, "Among us are two men from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ. One of them hastens to break the fast and delays the pre-dawn meal, while the other delays breaking the fast and hastens the pre-dawn meal."She asked, "Which one hastens to break the fast and delays the pre-dawn meal?"I replied, "Abdullah bin Masud."She said, "This is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do it."
أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الأعلى قال حدثنا خالد قال حدثنا شعبة عن سليمان عن خيثمة
قلت لعائشة فينا رجلان من أصحاب النبي ﷺ أحدهما يعجل الإفطار ويؤخر السحور والآخر يؤخر الإفطار ويعجل السحور قالت أيهما الذي يعجل الإفطار ويؤخر السحور قلت عبد الله بن مسعود قالت هكذا كان رسول الله ﷺ يصنع
