The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The month is like this, like this, and like this," meaning twenty-nine days. It was narrated by Yahya bin Saeed and others from Ismail, from Muhammad bin Saad, from the Prophet ﷺ.
أخبرنا سويد بن نصر قال أنبأنا عبد الله عن إسمعيل
قال رسول الله ﷺ الشهر هكذا وهكذا وهكذا يعني تسعة وعشرين رواه يحيى بن سعيد وغيره عن إسمعيل عن محمد بن سعد عن النبي ﷺ
