On the day of Uhud, many of the Muslims were killed and the people suffered wounds. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Dig the graves, make them wide, and bury two or three together in one grave. Place the one who knew the most of the Quran in front."
أخبرنا محمد بن معمر قال حدثنا وهب بن جرير قال حدثنا أبي قال سمعت حميد بن هلال
لما كان يوم أحد أصيب من أصيب من المسلمين وأصاب الناس جراحات فقال رسول الله ﷺ احفروا وأوسعوا وادفنوا الاثنين والثلاثة في القبر وقدموا أكثرهم قرآنا
