The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The lahd is for us, and the shaqq is for others."
أخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد أبو عبد الرحمن الأذرمي عن حكام بن سلم الرازي عن علي بن عبد الأعلى عن أبيه عن سعيد بن جبير
قال رسول الله ﷺ اللحد لنا والشق لغيرنا
Its chain of transmission is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Funerals, Chapter on the Lahd, hadith no. 3208, as did Tirmidhi, hadith no. 1045, and Ibn Majah, hadith no. 1554, from the hadith of Hakkam by this route. Tirmidhi said, hasan gharib. It is also found in Sunan al-Kubra, hadith no. 2136.
