Adawi reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you see a funeral procession, stand until it passes you or is set down."
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا الليث عن ابن شهاب عن سالم عن أبيه
العدوي عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال إذا رأيتم الجنازة فقوموا حتى تخلفكم أو توضع
Muslim narrated it, no. 958, from the hadith of Layth bin Saad (see the previous hadith), and Bukhari, in the Book of Funerals, chapter on standing for the funeral, no. 1307, from the hadith of Zuhri with this same wording, and it is in Kubra, no. 2042.
