The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the bier is set down and the men carry it on their shoulders, if the deceased was righteous it says, 'Take me forward, take me forward!' But if it was not righteous, it cries, 'Woe to it! Where are you taking it?' Every creature hears its voice except humans, and were a human to hear it, he would fall dead."
