She was his maternal aunt, so she gave him some sawiq to drink. Then she said to him, "Perform ablution, my nephew, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Perform ablution after eating anything touched by fire.'"

[Its isnad is sahih] Abu Dawud reported it in Kitab al-Taharah, Chapter on the severe warning concerning that, hadith no. 195, from the hadith of Abu Salama with the same wording, and he pointed to the hadith of Zuhri, which is found in al-Kubra, hadith no. 186.
