Umar bin Khattab said, "Whoever misses his portion of recitation during the night and then recites it after the sun has passed its zenith and before the noon prayer, it is as though he has not missed it," or, "it is as though he has caught up with it."Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman bin Awf reported this as a statement of Umar himself.
