Hafsa bint Umar bin Khattab reported,

Whenever the muezzin finished the call to prayer, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pray two short rakats.

عن حفصة أم المؤمنين أنها أخبرته

أن رسول الله ﷺ كان إذا سكت المؤذن صلى ركعتين خفيفتين
