Abu Musa was traveling between Mecca and Medina when he prayed the evening prayer as two units, then stood and prayed a single unit as his witr. In it, he recited a hundred verses from Surah an-Nisa. Afterward he said, "I have spared no effort in placing my feet where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his feet, and reciting what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited."
أخبرنا إبراهيم بن يعقوب قال حدثنا أبو النعمان قال حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن عاصم الأحول
أن أبا موسى كان بين مكة والمدينة فصلى العشاء ركعتين ثم قام فصلى ركعة أوتر بها فقرأ فيها بمائة آية من النساء ثم قال ما ألوت أن أضع قدمي حيث وضع رسول الله ﷺ قدميه وأنا أقرأ بما قرأ به رسول الله ﷺ
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ahmad narrated it 4/419, from the hadith of Asim Ahwal through this route, and it is also in al-Kubra, no. 1424.There is doubt about whether Abu Majliz actually heard from Abu Musa, as Ibn Hajar Asqalani stated.
