The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to go out on the day of Eid al-Fitr and the day of Eid al-Adha to the prayer ground and lead the people in prayer. When he had completed the second rakah and given the salam, he would stand and face the people while they remained seated. If he had a need, such as wanting to dispatch an expedition, he would mention it to them. Otherwise, he would command the people to give charity, saying, "Give in charity," three times. The women were among those who gave the most in charity.
أخبرنا قتيبة قال حدثنا عبد العزيز عن داود عن عياض بن عبد الله
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يخرج يوم الفطر ويوم الأضحى إلى المصلى فيصلي بالناس فإذا جلس في الثانية وسلم قام فاستقبل الناس بوجهه والناس جلوس فإن كانت له حاجة يريد أن يبعث بعثا ذكره للناس وإلا أمر الناس بالصدقة قال تصدقوا ثلاث مرات فكان من أكثر من يتصدق النساء
