I saw the Prophet ﷺ delivering a sermon while wearing two green cloaks.
أخبرنا محمد بن بشار قال حدثنا عبد الرحمن قال حدثنا عبيد الله بن إياد عن أبيه
رأيت النبي ﷺ يخطب وعليه بردان أخضران
[Its chain is sahih] Tirmidhi transmitted it in the Book of Manners, chapter on what has been said about the green garment, hadith no. 2812, from Muhammad bin Bashshar with this wording, and Tirmidhi said, hasan gharib. It is also found in Al-Kubra, hadith no. 1781. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith no. 1522, as did Ibn Khuzayma in Al-Isabah, 4/(70), and Hakim, 2/426, 607, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
