The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the fear prayer. He stood and said the takbir, and a group of us prayed behind him while another group faced the enemy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in one bowing and two prostrations, then they turned away without saying the salam and went forward toward the enemy, taking their positions in the line. The other group came and lined up behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he led them in one bowing and two prostrations. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the salam, having completed two bowings and four prostrations. After that, the two groups stood, and each person prayed by himself one bowing and two prostrations.Abu Bakr bin al-Sunni said, Zuhri heard two hadiths from Ibn Umar, but he did not hear this one from him.
أخبرني عمران بن بكار قال حدثنا محمد بن المبارك قال أنبأنا الهيثم بن حميد عن العلاء وأبي أيوب عن الزهري
صلى رسول الله ﷺ صلاة الخوف قام فكبر فصلى خلفه طائفة منا وطائفة مواجهة العدو فركع بهم رسول الله ﷺ ركعة وسجد سجدتين ثم انصرفوا ولم يسلموا وأقبلوا على العدو فصفوا مكانهم وجاءت الطائفة الأخرى فصفوا خلف رسول الله ﷺ فصلى بهم ركعة وسجدتين ثم سلم رسول الله ﷺ وقد أتم ركعتين وأربع سجدات ثم قامت الطائفتان فصلى كل إنسان منهم لنفسه ركعة وسجدتين قال أبو بكر بن السني الزهري سمع من ابن عمر حديثين ولم يسمع هذا منه
