The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the prayer ground to pray for rain. He faced the qiblah, turned his cloak inside out, and prayed two rakahs.Abu Abdul-Rahman said, This is a mistake by Ibn Uyayna. The Abdullah bin Zayd who was shown the call to prayer is Abdullah bin Zayd bin Abd Rabbih, while this one is Abdullah bin Zayd bin Asim.

Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Rain-Seeking Prayer, chapter on turning the cloak during the rain-seeking prayer, hadith no. 1012, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Rain-Seeking Prayer, chapter on the book of the rain-seeking prayer, hadith no. 894/2, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, transmitted the same way, and it is also in al-Kubra, hadith no. 1806.
