A man came in while the Prophet ﷺ was on the pulpit on Friday. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Have you prayed two rakats?"He replied, "No."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then stand up and pray them."
أخبرنا إبراهيم بن الحسن ويوسف بن سعيد واللفظ له قالا حدثنا حجاج عن ابن جريج قال أخبرني عمرو بن دينار أنه سمع
جاء رجل والنبي ﷺ على المنبر يوم الجمعة فقال له أركعت ركعتين قال لا قال فاركع
Reported by Muslim, "Friday Prayer," chapter, "Greeting while the imam is delivering the sermon," hadith no. 56/875, from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj. Also by Bukhari, "Friday Prayer," chapter, "If the imam sees a man..." etc., hadith no. 930, from the hadith of Amr bin Dinar with the same wording. It is also found in Kubra, hadith no. 1704.
