The Prophet ﷺ said, "Among the most excellent of your days is Friday. On it Adam was created, on it he died, on it the trumpet will be blown, and on it all creatures will be struck unconscious. So send abundant blessings upon me on this day, for your blessings are presented to me."They asked, "Messenger of Allah, how can our blessings be presented to you when you will have decayed?" meaning, when your body has crumbled away.He replied, "Allah
has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the prophets, peace be upon them."
Its chain is daif. Abu Dawud recorded it in Kitab al-Salah, Bab Fadl Yawm al-Jumuah wa Laylat al-Jumuah, hadith 1047 and 1531, and Ibn Majah, hadith 1636, from the hadith of Husayn bin Ali Jafi, with this chain. It is also in Kubra, hadith 1666. Ibn Khuzayma, Ibn Hibban, Hakim, Dhahabi and others graded it sahih, while Abu Hatim Razi and others graded it daif, and it contains a serious defect. This Abdul-Rahman bin Yazid is Ibn Tamim, as Bukhari, Abu Dawud and others have established, and he is very daif. Whoever said he is Ibn Jabir has erred. See Nayl al-Maqsud, page 1/320, may Allah make its printing easy for us.
