I asked Jabir bin Samura, "Did you used to sit with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "Yes. Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the dawn prayer, he would remain seated in his prayer place until the sun rose. His companions would converse, recalling stories from the days of ignorance and reciting poetry, and they would laugh while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would smile."
أخبرنا أحمد بن سليمان قال حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال حدثنا زهير وذكر آخر
قلت لجابر بن سمرة كنت تجالس رسول الله ﷺ قال نعم كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا صلى الفجر جلس في مصلاه حتى تطلع الشمس فيتحدث أصحابه يذكرون حديث الجاهلية وينشدون الشعر ويضحكون ويتبسم ﷺ
