A man came to the Prophet of Allah ﷺ and asked, "How shall we send blessings upon you, Prophet of Allah?"He replied, "Say, 'O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. And bestow Your favor upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You bestowed Your favor upon Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.'"
أخبرنا عبيد الله بن سعد بن إبراهيم بن سعد قال حدثنا عمي قال حدثنا شريك عن عثمان بن موهب
أن رجلا أتى نبي الله ﷺ فقال كيف نصلي عليك يا نبي الله قال قولوا اللهم صل على محمد وعلى آل محمد كما صليت على إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد وبارك على محمد وعلى آل محمد كما باركت على إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] See the previous hadith. Bazzar narrated it in Bahr Zakhkhar 3/155, no. 942, from Ubaydullah bin Saad bin Ibrahim, through the same route, and it is also in Kubra, no. 1214.
