Abu Hurayrah used to lead them in prayer, saying the takbir each time he went down and rose up. When he finished, he would say, "By Allah, I am the one among you whose prayer most resembles the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Adhan, chapter on completing the takbir during ruku, hadith 785, and Muslim in the Book of Prayer, chapter on the same subject, hadith 392, from the hadith of Malik through this chain. It is the chapter on establishing the takbir at every lowering and rising in prayer in the Muwatta (Yahya), 1/76, and in the Kubra, hadith 741.
