Bara described the prostration to us. He placed his hands on the ground and raised his hindquarters, saying, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it."
أخبرنا علي بن حجر المروزي قال أنبأنا شريك
وصف لنا البراء السجود فوضع يديه بالأرض ورفع عجيزته وقال هكذا رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يفعل
[Its chain is daif] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter on the description of sujud, no. 896, from the hadith of Sharik the judge, with this wording. His status was mentioned previously, no. 1090. It is also found in al-Kubra, no. 691.Sharik used the ambiguous form "an" in his transmission.
