The Prophet ﷺ forbade me from wearing qassi garments, silk, and gold rings, and from reciting the Quran while bowing in prayer. On another occasion he said, "and from reciting while in rukoo."
أخبرنا عبيد الله بن سعيد حدثنا حماد بن مسعدة عن أشعث عن محمد عن عبيدة
نهاني النبي ﷺ عن القسي والحرير وخاتم الذهب وأن أقرأ وأنا راكع وقال مرة أخرى وأن أقرأ راكعا
[Its chain is sahih] Bazzar recorded it in Bahr Zakhkhar, 2/178, no. 554, from the hadith of Ashath bin Abdullah Haddani, in an abridged form, and it is also in Kubra, no. 628, and the hadith that follows corroborates it.Muhammad is Ibn Sirin, and Abu Dawud recorded it through his route, no. 4050, with the wording, "He forbade crimson saddle-cloths." Ubayda is Ibn Amr, Abu Muslim Kufi Salmani.
