I know the pairings that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite together, twenty surahs in ten units of prayer. Then he took Alqama by the hand and went inside. Alqama later came out to us, and we asked him about them, and he informed us of them.
أخبرنا إسحق بن إبراهيم قال أنبأنا عيسى بن يونس عن الأعمش عن شقيق
إني لأعرف النظائر التي كان يقرأ بهن رسول الله ﷺ عشرين سورة في عشر ركعات ثم أخذ بيد علقمة فدخل ثم خرج إلينا علقمة فسألناه فأخبرنا بهن
Muslim narrated it in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers, chapter on reciting the Quran slowly and avoiding rushing, that is, excessive haste in it and so on, hadith 277/82, from Ishaq bin Ibrahim, and Bukhari narrated it in the Book of the Virtues of the Quran, chapter on the composition of the Quran, hadith 4996, through the hadith of Amash, with the same chain, and it is also in Kubra, hadith 1076.
