Abu Qilaba reported,

He saw that whenever Malik bin Huwayrith prayed, he would pronounce the takbir and then raise his hands, and when he intended to bow he raised his hands, and when he lifted his head from bowing he raised his hands. He related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do likewise.

حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى أخبرنا خالد بن عبد الله عن خالد

عن أبي قلابة

أنه رأى مالك بن الحويرث إذا صلى كبر ثم رفع يديه وإذا أراد أن يركع رفع يديه وإذا رفع رأسه من الركوع رفع يديه وحدث أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يفعل هكذا
