Hamza Zayat and I heard about a thousand hadiths from Abban bin Abu Ayyash.Ali said, "I later met Hamza, and he told me that he had seen the Prophet ﷺ in a dream and presented to him what he had heard from Abban. The Prophet recognized only a small portion of them, just five or six."
وحدثنا سويد بن سعيد، حدثنا
سمعت أنا وحمزة الزيات، من أبان بن أبي عياش نحوا من ألف حديث. قال علي فلقيت حمزة فأخبرني أنه رأى النبي ﷺ في المنام فعرض عليه ما سمع من أبان فما عرف منها إلا شيئا يسيرا خمسة أو ستة.
