Ayesha reported,

"And if a woman fears from her husband ill-treatment or aversion" [Nisa 4:128]. She said, "This was revealed concerning a woman who is with a man, and perhaps he no longer desires much of her company, yet she has been his companion and has borne him children, so she dislikes that he should leave her. She therefore says to him, 'You are absolved of any obligation toward me.'"
