Abu Bakr bought a saddle from Ubayy for thirteen dirhams. He related the hadith with the same meaning as the hadith of Zuhayr from Abu Ishaq. In his version, narrated from Uthman bin Umar, he said, "When he drew near, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicated against him, and his horse sank into the ground up to its belly. He leapt off it and said, 'Muhammad, I know this is your doing. Pray to Allah to deliver me from what I am in, and I pledge that I will turn back anyone behind me. Here is my quiver, take an arrow from it. You will pass by my camels and servants at such-and-such a place, so take from them whatever you need.'"The Prophet replied, "I have no need of your camels."We arrived in Medina at night, and the people disputed over who would host the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "I will stay with Banu Najjar, the maternal uncles of Abdul-Muttalib, to honor them by that." The men and women climbed onto the rooftops, while the boys and servants scattered through the streets calling out, "Muhammad, Messenger of Allah! Muhammad, Messenger of Allah!"
و حدثنيه زهير بن حرب حدثنا عثمان بن عمر ح و حدثناه إسحق بن إبراهيم أخبرنا النضر بن شميل كلاهما عن إسرائيل عن أبي إسحق
اشترى أبو بكر من أبي رحلا بثلاثة عشر درهما وساق الحديث بمعنى حديث زهير عن أبي إسحق و قال في حديثه من رواية عثمان بن عمر فلما دنا دعا عليه رسول الله ﷺ فساخ فرسه في الأرض إلى بطنه ووثب عنه وقال يا محمد قد علمت أن هذا عملك فادع الله أن يخلصني مما أنا فيه ولك علي لأعمين على من ورائي وهذه كنانتي فخذ سهما منها فإنك ستمر على إبلي وغلماني بمكان كذا وكذا فخذ منها حاجتك قال لا حاجة لي في إبلك فقدمنا المدينة ليلا فتنازعوا أيهم ينزل عليه رسول الله ﷺ فقال أنزل على بني النجار أخوال عبد المطلب أكرمهم بذلك فصعد الرجال والنساء فوق البيوت وتفرق الغلمان والخدم في الطرق ينادون يا محمد يا رسول الله يا محمد يا رسول الله
