The Prophet ﷺ came upon us while we were having a discussion and asked, "What are you discussing?"They replied, "We are talking about the Hour."He said, "It will not come until you see ten signs before it." He then mentioned the smoke, the Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from its place of setting, the descent of Isa son of Maryam ﷺ, Gog and Magog, and three landslides, one in the east, one in the west, and one in the Arabian Peninsula. The last of these signs will be a fire that emerges from Yemen, driving the people to their place of gathering.
Muslim included the hadith of Furat, from Abu Tufayl, from Huzaifa bin Usayd, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, that he said, "There will be ten signs."No one but Furat raised this as a marfu report from Abu Tufayl through a chain sound enough to be accepted, h.m. It was also narrated by Abdul-Aziz bin Rafi and Abdul-Malik bin Maysara from Abu Tufayl as a mawquf report, as Zayd bin Abu Unaysa said, from Abdul-Malik. Ashath differed from this, saying that Abdul-Malik narrated it from Rabee bin Umayla.
I say, both Abdul-Aziz bin Rafi and Furat Qazzaz are trustworthy, as stated in Taqrib. So it should be understood that Abu Tufayl used to narrate it in both ways, and both ways are sahih, and Allah knows best.Qatada also followed Furat Qazzaz in raising it to the Prophet, as mentioned in Mujam al-Kabir by Tabarani, volume 3, page 192. Its chain includes Saeed bin Bashir and Walid bin Walid, who is the Damascene. Daraqutni and others said he is munkar al-hadith, as stated in Mizan.
