By Allah, I am the most knowledgeable of people about every tribulation that will occur between now and the Hour. It is not because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ confided something to me about it that he did not tell anyone else, but rather because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, while speaking about tribulations to a gathering in which I was present, as he was enumerating the tribulations, "Among them are three that will scarcely leave anything untouched, and among them are tribulations like the winds of summer, some small and some great."Hudhayfah said, "Every man of that gathering has passed away except me."
حدثني حرملة بن يحيى التجيبي أخبرنا ابن وهب أخبرني يونس عن ابن شهاب أن أبا إدريس الخولاني كان يقولا
والله إني لأعلم الناس بكل فتنة هي كائنة فيما بيني وبين الساعة وما بي إلا أن يكون رسول الله ﷺ أسر إلي في ذلك شيئا لم يحدثه غيري ولكن رسول الله ﷺ قال وهو يحدث مجلسا أنا فيه عن الفتن فقال رسول الله ﷺ وهو يعد الفتن منهن ثلاث لا يكدن يذرن شيئا ومنهن فتن كرياح الصيف منها صغار ومنها كبار قال حذيفة فذهب أولئك الرهط كلهم غيري
