Muslim narrated it from Hajjaj bin Shayr, from Abu Nadr, from Ibrahim bin Saad, from his father, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, "Peoples will enter Paradise whose hearts are like the hearts of birds."He said, Abu Nadr was not followed in connecting it to Abu Hurairah, and the preserved version is from Ibrahim bin Saad, from his father, from Abu Salama, as a mursal narration from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. This is how Yaqub and Saad, the two sons of Ibrahim, and others narrated it from Ibrahim bin Saad, and the mursal version is the correct one.

I say, what appears to me is that the mursal version is more sahih, as Daraqutni and Abdullah bin Ahmad mentioned. As for what Nawawi indicated regarding preferring the connected version over the disconnected one, the response to that has already been given in the introduction.
