It is reported from the Prophet ﷺ, except that Mahmud said in his narration from Bishr, "The example of the disbeliever is like the cedar tree." As for Ibn Hatim, he said, "The example of the hypocrite," as Zuhayr said.
و حدثنيه محمد بن حاتم ومحمود بن غيلان قالا حدثنا بشر بن السري حدثنا سفيان عن سعد بن إبراهيم
عن النبي ﷺ غير أن محمودا قال في روايته عن بشر ومثل الكافر كمثل الأرزة وأما ابن حاتم فقال مثل المنافق كما قال زهير
