With the chain of Ibn Muaz, from Shuba, from Amash, from Ibrahim, from Abu Muamar, that Abdullah bin Masud said, "The moon split into two halves during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The mountain concealed one half, while the other half was above the mountain. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, 'O Allah, bear witness.'"However, in the version transmitted by Ibn Abu Adi, he said, "Bear witness, bear witness."
