The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was returning from a journey, and as he drew near Madinah, a violent wind blew up so fierce that it nearly buried the riders. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This wind has been sent because of the death of a hypocrite." When he arrived in Madinah, it turned out that a prominent hypocrite had indeed died.
