We said to Ammar, "Tell us, this fighting of yours, was it based on your own opinion that you formed, since opinion can be right or wrong, or was it a charge entrusted to you by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not entrust anything to us that he did not entrust to all people."Then he said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among my nation there are..." Shuba said, "I think he said, 'Hudhayfah narrated to me,'" and Ghundar said, "I believe he said, 'Among my nation there are twelve hypocrites who will not enter Paradise nor smell its fragrance until a camel passes through the eye of a needle. Eight of them will be dealt with by the dubaylah, a lamp of fire that will appear in their shoulders and emerge from their chests.'"

قلنا لعمار أرأيت قتالكم أرأيا رأيتموه فإن الرأي يخطئ ويصيب أو عهدا عهده إليكم رسول الله ﷺ فقال ما عهد إلينا رسول الله ﷺ شيئا لم يعهده إلى الناس كافة وقال إن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن في أمتي قال شعبة وأحسبه قال حدثني حذيفة وقال غندر أراه قال في أمتي اثنا عشر منافقا لا يدخلون الجنة ولا يجدون ريحها حتى يلج الجمل في سم الخياط ثمانية منهم تكفيكهم الدبيلة سراج من النار يظهر في أكتافهم حتى ينجم من صدورهم
