The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What would you say about the joy of a man whose riding camel has escaped him, dragging its reins through a barren land with no food or drink, while it carries his food and drink? He searches for it until exhaustion overcomes him. Then it passes by the trunk of a tree, its reins catch on it, and he finds it tethered there."We replied, "Intense joy, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By Allah, Allah rejoices more over the repentance of His servant than that man over his camel."Jafar said, Ubaydullah bin Iyad narrated to us from his father.
حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى وجعفر بن حميد قال جعفر حدثنا وقال يحيى أخبرنا عبيد الله بن إياد بن لقيط عن إياد
قال رسول الله ﷺ كيف تقولون بفرح رجل انفلتت منه راحلته تجر زمامها بأرض قفر ليس بها طعام ولا شراب وعليها له طعام وشراب فطلبها حتى شق عليه ثم مرت بجذل شجرة فتعلق زمامها فوجدها متعلقة به قلنا شديدا يا رسول الله فقال رسول الله ﷺ أما والله لله أشد فرحا بتوبة عبده من الرجل براحلته قال جعفر حدثنا عبيد الله بن إياد عن أبيه
