The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him."The narrator said, "So I went to Ayesha and said, Umm Muiminin, I heard Abu Hurairah mention a hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ which, if it is as he said, means we are doomed."She replied, "The one who is doomed is the one doomed by the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. What is it?"He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him.' And there is not one of us who does not hate death."She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did indeed say it, but it does not mean what you think. Rather, when the gaze becomes fixed, the chest rattles, the skin shivers, and the fingers curl up, at that moment, whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him."The hadith of Abthar.
