Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Do you know who the bankrupt person is?"They replied, "Among us, the bankrupt is the one who has neither money nor possessions."He said, "The truly bankrupt of my nation is the one who comes on the Day of Resurrection with prayer, fasting, and charity, but he comes having insulted this one, slandered that one, consumed the wealth of another, shed the blood of yet another, and struck someone else. So this one is given from his good deeds, and that one is given from his good deeds. If his good deeds are exhausted before his debts are settled, then their sins are taken and cast upon him, and then he is thrown into the Fire."
