I stayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Medina for a year, and nothing kept me from making the formal hijrah except the desire to ask questions. For when one of us made hijrah, he would no longer ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about anything.So I asked him about righteousness and sin, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Righteousness is good character, and sin is what unsettles your soul and what you would dislike for people to discover."
