Ismail bin Salim also narrated to me, saying that Hushaym informed them, that Abu Bishr informed them, from Abdullah bin Shaqiq, that Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of my community is the generation among whom I was sent, then those who come after them."Abu Hurairah added, "And Allah knows best whether he mentioned a third group or not."Then the Prophet said, "After them will come people who love plumpness and who give testimony before they are asked to testify."In Shuba's version of the report, Abu Hurairah said, "I do not know whether he said it twice or three times."
