Transmitted with the chain of Abu Ahwas and Jareer, conveying the meaning of their hadith, though their version does not contain the words, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, 'Which people are the best?'"He said, "My own generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then a people will come whose testimony races ahead of their oath and whose oath races ahead of their testimony."Ibrahim said, "When we were boys, they used to forbid us from making pledges and giving testimonies."
و حدثنا محمد بن المثنى وابن بشار قالا حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة ح و حدثنا محمد بن المثنى وابن بشار قالا حدثنا عبد الرحمن حدثنا سفيان كلاهما عن منصور بإسناد أبي الأحوص وجرير بمعنى حديثهما وليس في حديثهما سئل رسول الله ﷺ
