I came to Umar bin Khattab, and he said to me, "The first charity that brought brightness to the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and to the faces of his companions was the charity of the tribe of Tayy, which I brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

أتيت عمر بن الخطاب فقال لي إن أول صدقة بيضت وجه رسول الله ﷺ ووجوه أصحابه صدقة طيئ جئت بها إلى رسول الله ﷺ
