Hassan said, "Messenger of Allah, give me permission to respond to Abu Sufyan."The Prophet ﷺ said, "How can you, given my kinship with him?"Hassan replied, "By the One who has honored you, I will pull you out from among them as a hair is pulled from dough."Then Hassan recited his poem in which he said, "The peak of glory belongs to the family of Hashim, the sons of the daughter of Makhzum, and your father is a slave."
