Aisha said, "I used to hear that no prophet dies until he is given a choice between this world and the hereafter."She continued, "Then, during the illness from which he died, I heard the Prophet ﷺ, his voice grown hoarse, saying, 'with those whom Allah has favored among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, and excellent are these as companions' [Nisa 4:69]."She said, "So I realized that he was being given the choice at that moment."
