Abdullah bin Zubayr reported,

On the day of the Battle of the Trench, Umar bin Abu Salama and I were with the women in the fortress of Hassan. He would lower himself for me once so that I could look out, and I would lower myself for him once so that he could look out. I would recognize my father whenever he passed by on his horse, in his armor, heading toward Banu Qurayza.Abdullah bin Urwa reported from Abdullah bin Zubayr, who said, I mentioned this to my father, and he asked, "Did you really see me, my son?"I said, "Yes."He said, "By Allah, on that day the Messenger of Allah ﷺ joined together both his parents for me, saying, 'May my father and mother be your ransom.'"
